This maiden list highlights the remarkable achievements and innovative contributions of young leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries from various sectors.
TPP 100 Under 40 list is a celebration of the outstanding talent and remarkable contribution young Africans are making within and outside the continent. These individuals, all under the age of 40, have demonstrated exceptional leadership, creativity, and dedication to improving their industries, communities and by extension, the world at large.

From October 2-4 , we will be hosting The Peak Performer Festival and the first day is dedicated to equipping emerging leaders with The Magic of Emotional Intelligence to enable them deliver a higher level of excellence. On that day, we will also unveil TPP Magazine 3.0. This edition is dedicated to these emerging leaders. While some of the Young Africans on this list will be gracing the cover, we will be publishing articles from some others and everyone on the list will be published in the magazine. The high point of the day will be a presentation of Plaque of Honour to each emerging leader on this list.

6. Somachi Chris-Asoluka

In her role, Somachi oversees the Foundation’s transformative initiatives aimed at empowering young African entrepreneurs across all 54 countries on the continent. With a focus on strategic marketing, corporate communications, and policy advocacy, she orchestrates the Foundation’s multifaceted operations, driving its mission to catalyze economic growth and job creation in Africa.
Prior to assuming the CEO position, Somachi distinguished herself as the Director of Partnerships and Communication at TEF. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in forging strategic collaborations with esteemed organizations such as the European Union, UNDP, and Google, contributing to the Foundation’s remarkable impact. Under her leadership, TEF facilitated direct funding for over 18,000 African entrepreneurs, leading to the creation of more than 400,000 jobs across communities on the continent.

7. Hauwa Ojeifo
Hauwa is dedicated to overcoming the stigma around mental health in Nigeria. She runs a women’s support group called She Writes Women, which focuses on mental health support and outreach among some of the most vulnerable people in the community. Through this organisation, she set up the country’s first 24-hour mental health helpline, which has so far assisted more than 200 women to gain the support they need. Hauwa also operates ‘Safe Places’ – free monthly support groups for women, which include therapy and help from counselors, coaches and physicians and carries out ‘Hope Visits’ to people in psychiatric hospitals who have not had visitors for a long time.
8. Funto Ibuoye (Nigeria)
Funto Ibuoye is a dynamic individual who has achieved remarkable success in various domains. Presently, she holds the esteemed position of CEO at Five28, a renowned global firm specializing in design, architecture, and property development, Funto leads a passionate team dedicated to creating transformative spaces for people to live and work in.
As a dynamic speaker and author, Funto is also the founder of The Beautified Network, an initiative focused on enabling women to discover and live in the fullness of their God-given purposes.
9. Imoh Eboh (Nigeria)
Imoh Eboh is a Nigerian Actor, filmmaker/ Producer, Performer, Storyteller, and Educator for the Future. Maudlyn Akosua Awuku is a Ghanaian women’s rights advocate.She is the founder and CEO of GEWE Network, and Anijie Global Foundation. She was alsoa delegate of the UN Women UK delegation to the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) for the sixty-sixth session in New York.

30. Onyeka Akumah (Nigeria)
Onyeka Akumah is a technology entrepreneur with a focus on transportation and agriculture. As the founder of Nigeria’s first digital agriculture platform, Farmcrowdy, Onyeka helped to connect small-scale farmers with individuals who want to invest in agriculture.

31. Hilda Baci (Nigeria)
Hilda Effiong Bassey, widely recognized as Hilda Baci, is a talented Nigerian chef, restaurateur, and actress. She earned her sociology degree before pursuing her passion for cooking, inspired by her mother, who is also a chef. In August 2021, she triumphed in the Jollof Faceoff competition and subsequently took on the role of host for the TV show Dine on a Budget. In 2023, Hilda made headlines as a Guinness World Record Holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, clocking in at an impressive 93 hours and 11 minutes. 32. Ini Dima-Okojie (Nigeria)
Ini Dima-Okojie is a Nigerian actress, banker, and fashion enthusiast who made a significant career shift from investment banking to pursue acting. 35. Emmanuel Simon Bawa (Nigeria)
Emmanuel Simon Bawa is a trained Computer Scientist with a decade of expertise in technology solutions, learning and development, project management, business development.
Bawa has consulted for around 200 businesses globally in recent years and played pivotal roles in major projects such as the FCDO-funded Commonwealth Equality Project where he was co-awarded the impact and innovation award, GAC-funded YouLead project implemented by Cuso International where he was awarded the most valuable national volunteer, NNPC Eagle Project among other projects.
His recent innovation of tekbro.ng which he created to support Nigerian brands with free digital transformation services and training earned him the 2023 TARA Award.
Bawa’s extensive training experience spans prestigious organizations like the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, TETFUND, NASENI etc.
