Over 200 Benefit As APC Chieftain Floats Free Eye Surgery in Ekiti

About 200 people benefit from the free health programme initiated by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Ayodeji Adarabierin, also known as Asipa.

At a programme organised under Adarabierin’s platform called Asipa Political Family, 60 people got recommended glasses while 12 had surgeries for cataracts.

In his remarks at the programme in Idolofin in Ado Ekiti, the founder of the group, Adarabierin disclosed that he committed about N2.5million to the effort.

The APC chieftain and House of Assembly hopeful said he is desirous of making life more abundant for his people in and out of office.

Adarabierin said the free health programme was one of his intervention programmes to make life meaningful for the people, adding that scholarships and holiday training for students, agricultural interventions for farmers and sports will be given priority.

He encouraged everyone to go for medical check-ups regularly saying that the numbers of patients diagnosed with other related issues during the free eye health programme were alarming.

Also speaking, APC Chairman of Ward Chairmen in Ekiti State, Kayode Oladimeji commended the originator of Asipa Political Family, Adarabierin for the move describing him as a good party man.

Also, a Corp Member, Nonye Okoli who supervised the programme thanked Adarabierin for financing the programme saying it was expedient for people to know their health status.

Two of the beneficiaries of the free Cataract Surgery and Eye Health Clinic explained that the programme would help them cater for their health needs.

According to the Convener of the Asipa Political Family, Ayodeji Adarabierin, artisans, farmers and petty traders would be captured in the next intervention programme of the Group.
