LASG Commences Intensive Training For Public Servants

The Office of Establishments and Training, Monday, commenced intensive training for officers in professional and administrative cadres in the state public service.

The training is said to be part of the ongoing accelerated structured training programme of the state government.

This was noted in a media statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mr Dele Balogun.

He confirmed that the training commenced on Monday, 25th July this year at various venues in the state. It will span until the end of August this year.

Balogun also hinted that the programme would begin with a workshop themed: “Value Re-orientation for Effective Service Delivery”, at the Chemline House Training Centre, Ikeja.

It will run for one week with three streams of participants drawn from different cadres.

According to the director, subsequent weeks will witness a series of training programmes with various themes such as: “Health Administration” for Senior Health Professionals; “Cost Engineering: Effective Estimation and Cost Control of Technical Projects” for Engineers; “Risk Management” and “Excellent Customer Service Delivery” with participants drawn from all cadres.

Balogun also disclosed that each of the sessions would have 50 participants and some of the sessions will run for two days each for different streams of participants.

“The series of training programmes organised at the beginning of the year by the Office of Establishments and Training for Public Servants cut across cadres. 

“Prominent amongst which are training for Planning, Public Affairs, Legal and Admin/Human Resource Officers”, Balogun noted.
