Gov Abiodun Vows To Takeover Repair Of Sango-Ota Road

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun has issued a two-week ultimatum to the President Muhammadu Buhari-lead administration to fix the neglected Sango-Ota road.

The government have been in the bad book of the road users, especially the people of Sango-Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, who have on different occasions registered their displeasure over the poor state of the road.

In January, President Buhari was in Ogun State, where he promised to fix the said road.

Buhari, however, didn’t fulfill his promise, prompting residence to call on Abiodun to take over the road if the Federal Government fails to do the needful.

Inspecting the road on Saturday, Abiodun charged the federal government to hasten up the repair of the road within the next two weeks.

According to his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Emmanuel Ojo, the governor vowed to take over the road if the FG fails to take actions.

“Gov. Dapo Abiodun inspects Lagos-Sango Ota-Abeokuta Road.

“(He) declares state of emergency on road, gives FG two-week ultimatum to fix the road, else state government will take over and reconstruct the deplorable road,” said.
