The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwumi Adesina, has thrown his hat into the ring, as he picks the presidential form ahead of the 2023 presidential race.
The presidential hopeful was said to have got the presidential nomination and expression of interest form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for N100 million.
Reports, however, have it that a coalition of 28 groups contributed the fee to acquire the form for Adesina, the former minister of agriculture under the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
The groups include Nigerians in the Diaspora, One Nigeria Group, Prudent Youth Association of Nigeria, Youth Arise Movement, women groups, farmers, people with disabilities, and other civil society organisations among others.
The group led by the head of One Nigeria Group, Mohammed Saleh, was said to have made the payment and collected the acknowledgement slip for Adesina at the International Conference Centre where the APC is currently selling the forms.
